Opening of Nepalese Record Holder Corner & Welcome to Delegates of Himalayan Travel Mart-2017

NMA organized Special Celebration of the 10th International Mt. Everest Day , on May 29, 2017 at Int'l Mountain Museum in honor of the delegates of Himalayan Travel Mart-2017 and an inauguration of Nepalese Record Holder Corner at International Mountain Museum, Pokhara. Personalities from the torism sectors, delegates bloggers & media, NMA officials, NMA- Annapurna chapter officials, Advisors and IMM staff were present in the program.More than 85 bloggers visited the museum on the day.
Nepalese Record holder corner is opened at IMM exhibition hall by Dr Ganesh Gurung, NMA Advisor & Mr. Kamal Man Gurung, IMM Advisor. Guinness World record holder Mr. Kazi Sherpa is a legend in mountaineering sector whose bio-data and achievements are placed in exhibition corner.
 In the formal program Mr. Santa Bir Lama, Ist Vice President-NMA & Convener of IMM committee gave his warm welcome to all the distinguished guests. Followed by the welcome speech, Mt. Everest summiter and a Guinness World record holder Mr. Kazi Sherpa, shared his experience and beliefs with the delegates.
The floor was opened for some time for the questions and responses. Mr. Suman Pandey, PATA President of Nepal Chapter also gave some remarks. Eventually, II Vice President of NMA, Mr Deebas Bickram Shah concluded with his vote of thanks.

Highest number of visitors at IMM- 30 Oct

NMA's International Mountain Museum, Pokhara recorded the highest number of visitors on 28 October 2016 since its establishment 2004. More than 3500 people visited IMM on that day generating Rs 205,800 income for IMM. On behalf of NMA, IMM Committee Convener Santa Bir Lama would like to express his gratitude towards all the well wishers and visitors for the supported extended for the development of IMM.

43rd NMA Day celebration :

43rd NMA day was celebrated on its established day, 1 Nov 2016 at International Mountain Museum, Pokhara by hoisting the NMA flag. IMM Committe members; Mr. Hari Lamichhane and Mr Jeevan Sapkota, Secretary of NMA- Annapurna chapter , Mr Sesh Kanta Sharma, News reporter of Ratriya SAmachar SAmiti, Mr Hari bastola & IMM staffs members participated in the celebration of NMA Day. The program was coordinated by Mr. Ranjan Joshi, and was conducted by Mr. Jeevan Sapkota-former president of NMA-Annapurna Chapter. Advisors of IMM, Mr. Kamal Man Gurung & Mr. Hari Dhoj Tulachan hoisted the NMA flag.

Chief of Maldives National Defence Force, Maj Gen Ahmed Shiyam and members visited International Mountain Museum , Pokhara on 4th Kartik 2073( 20th Oct 2016).

JICA representative and UKDFID visit to Museum

Dr. Yukio Tanaka, Representative of jica, Nepal Office and Strahan Spencer, Senior Economic Advisor of UK DEp[artment of International Development(DFID), Nepal visited the International Mountain Museum along with their family members on 16 October 2016.
